Rusted Through
I need to repair my core support. It is rusted through in the standard place under the battery tray. What is the best way to fix this. Spot is about 4 inches long and about 1 inch in from the edge of the mounting tab Any help or photos would be appreciated.

Looking at your location in the states...I'd replace it. That is one panel on my southern truck that is not rusted.

Try to find one that isn't and swap it out. Another option would be to buy an aftermarket one. I tried this first but got a really bad core. Supposedly others got the same problem and it has been since fixed. I found a core in Georgia on this board.

I don't own show trucks so I just fabricate and weld in a new piece if it is the only bad spot. Problem with my current truck is the entire bottom of the core support is rotted out. Time for a new/old support that can be fixed.
