wiring woes

i have put a 68 cab on my 71 frame, and i decided to use the 68 harness cause it is in really good shape. my guages, colum, switches are all out of the 71. but i have ran into a few problems. i already made the washer pigtail longer to reach were the choke used to be on the 68. the turn signal is different on the 71 column. but so far my biggest question is the gauge cluster pigtail. for example when i switch the hi/low beam the indicator lights up the right turn indicator! etc. so i was wondering if any body has tried this and or is having the same problem. i was also thinking of switching the wires on the 68 cluster pig tail to match the 71 pigtail. thanks

Check this out,

It is directions for swapping a idiot dash to a gauge cluster dash, it will show you where every wire should go depending on what cluster your using
