Electric Fans
Well today my flexalite fan blew up. Two of the blades broke off, one slicing through the upper radiator hose. Now that I have to replace the fan I was thinking about putting an electric fan on. Would these cool the motor in 100 degree temps? The motor is stock, soon to have a new water pump since this one has a bad bearing. I have heard that a taurus fan works good, any one on this board have any experience with these? Heres a link for themTaurus Fan. Any other cheap setups that you guys know of?

I just installed my 16 inch perma cool fan and shroud I got from Wes. It stays right around 183 degrees. hasn't been really hot here yet but I don't think I'll have a problem.

i would find an old thirdgen camaro z28. they had dual fans. you can rig one side to run all the time and have the other one kick in as asupplement for hot days. the rs camaros had one fan. mine works pretty good in the camaro, but it's so low to the ground, that it sucks up the heat from the roads. a truck shoold do fine with an electric fan. make sure you get one that has enough cfm to cool it down if you tow anything.

I currently use the camaro dual fan setup on my lemans. When I got them, they didnt come with a shroud so it doesnt do its best to cool. They are also expensive, unless you can get them at a picknpull.
TTT for me

I've heard same thing bout those flex fans, they definately are dangerous. I have a dual flexalite electric fan set up. I love it. I have a hopped up 400, it keeps it cool while i'm listening to it run in my dad shop.
