My 68 shortbox 4x4
I'am new to the forum so I hope this is in the right place. I bought it about 2 months ago (first vehicle) and haven't done a whole lot to it yet. I put some different rims on it I think they are western bullets(it used to have white spokes). Its gotta 70 front clip and cab but I will be replacing those with a 68 front clip and a a/c and bucket seat cab. I plan to paint it a silvery blue if anyone has any pictures of a 67 or 68 with a silvery blue paint job I would appreciate seeing them. I will do a build up on it in the future. Could someone please tell me what the steering wheel came from(sorry for the blurry pic but its all I got for now)? It looks like the 80s Monte Carlo ss steering wheels but its aluminum.

Re: My 68 shortbox 4x4
Hi and welcome to the site. That`s a nice and rare truck you have there. There was a member here a while back who had a silver blue`68 shortbed K/10 with silver top and lower body.It was lifted and ran 12" rims IIRC.Unfortunately the pictures I had got lost in a computer crash a few years back.Maybe someone else knows the truck I`m talking aboyt and has pictures.I believe those steering wheels came in Camaros.I could be wrong.

This is going to sound weird but I am looking into steering wheels right now. What kind is yours and how big is it? Thanks for any info you can provide.

Re: My 68 shortbox 4x4
The steering wheel is 15 inch diameter and 4 inches deep. I don't know what it came off of Special-K said it might be off a camaro. The emblems cleaned up but are pitted pretty badly. I might scrape the raised bumps off to see if they come out better.

That looks like a nice start! I don't think I have ever seen a 68 short 4X4 in person, good luck with your build!
