Hello everyone. I've got a question about the front leaf srpings on my 77 3/4 ton pickup. Earlier I noticed that the front springs are flat, and sometimes they are bowed up (i.e. axle higher than the spring mounts). Most of the time they are flat, unless the truck decides to settle weird. This can't be normal can it? You can kind of see it in this pic (best I could do with the weight on the truck).

Stock front leaf springs are almost flat - almost no arc. After time, they can even become inverted (look like a slight frown.) This is normal.
No one worries about this much because most people lift their trucks. Even if you don't want an off-road warrior, you'd probably be happy with a 2.5" inch lift. Would probably ride better than the worn out front springs. Again, this is normal for well aged front springs on our trucks. -- Mike

That's what mine looked like when I replaced them with 2" Tuff Country springs.

Thats what mine looked like and I took them out and beat the crap out of them ith a 10 lb hammer and rearched them and got 4" lift out of them. You can by stock replacements pretty cheap. I'd say around $30.
