Carb problem
Shorter version...350 with quadrajet. Had trouble starting it today, turned over fine, wouldn't start. Took air cleaner off to nib and puddle of gas on the manifold on both sides of the carb. Gas just pouring out where the rod for the butterfly comes through the carb. My guess, not being carb person, is stuck float. If this is what you guys think, is it hard to fix/replace? Long version accidentally on parts board.
Thanks for any help Chuck

carb
bushings shot on carb is why you have fuel leaking at throttle shafts, float may be stuck. doubt it. to fix the leaking throttle shaft wont be inexpensive. you will have to dissasemble the crb. completely, and rebuild it afterward. cheap fix ---carter or edelbrock carb and adapter if necessary

your float is stuck or deteriorated. you won't get a float in a rebuild kit. you will have buy that separate. it's not real hard to rebuild a q-jet like everyone thinks it is. just get a good book like the haynes book for q-jet and start working. read the book cover to cover before rebuilding so you will understand the instructions in the kit.

Be sure and have them put bushings in the throttle shaft bores during the rebuild. It doesn't cost that much more.
