Post Transmission Linkage Arm

Hello to all

I have a 72 C10 with a Auto Trans. I have had it overhauled and come to a stop. The springs on the Transmission Linkage Arm are wore out. Does anyone know where I can pick them up? I tried the local autoparts and no cigar.

Any Help greatly Apprecitiated

Lewis

Re: Transmission Linkage Arm

TRY A GOOD NAPA STORE , OR ANY DECENT AUTO PARTS STORE THAT SELLS DORMAN FASTENERS.(I'VE GOT THEM THERE) JUST TAKE YOUR LINKAGE WITH YOU & FIND ONE THE RIGHT DIAMETER & CUT TO THE LENGTH YOU NEED. JOHN

Re: Transmission Linkage Arm

Our local Ace Hardware store carries a similar spring in their spring collection.

Re: Transmission Linkage Arm

JunkyardJohn

I would not hold my breath that someone will shelf the small springs and bolts required to keep the linkage arm in place. As a matter of fact, anything and everything is being reproduced. I just like to use the right parts instead of going to a hardware store to search if I dont have to. I know alot of C10 owners who prefer a aftermarket Tachometer to the Factory One and install it on the instrument panel by custom fitting it. I chose to ask who carries the parts and take it from there respectfully.

Re: Transmission Linkage Arm

Go to NAPA, they have the best selection.

I would like to know what springs these are and where they go are are attached to. I'm not familiar with them.

Re: Transmission Linkage Arm

Page 133 of the new LMC catalog... http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=133

The spring is included with the shift linkage arm (part #32-4830). I had to buy a new arm because mine was completely wore out and the spring, washer, and retaining cotter pin were included.

But I don't think the spring is available seperately. My local Ace Hardware has all the fasteners and springs I could ever want.
