Starter brackets?

Whenever I turn my motor over, the starter torques like crazy. I can actually see it shifting. I heard something about a bracket that goes on the back of the starter as a support, but I've never actually seen one. Can anyone help? Is there such a support bracket, or am I going to have to make one? Any help would be appreciated.
