smooth firewall
ok so i am looking at pictures of trucks on the brothers site that they put on here.
http://www.truckshows.org/index-gal.php the 2008 best of show is a 69-70 Chevy. it has a smooth firewall on it. my question is. where are they putting everything? only thing on the firewall is the stering colum comming out of it nothing else. not even a master cylinder. are they barny rubeling it or does it just get pushed everywhere.

Re: smooth firewall
They either put the master cylinder in the dash or under the cab in the frame rails its a good way to clean up the firewall for sure.

Re: smooth firewall
It looks good but I don't understand how they are doing it and how they make everything work right.

Re: smooth firewall
CPP makes a brake master cylinder relocation system the puts it on the frame rail under the the cab. As far as the climate control, you can either get rid of it all leaving you with nothing, or you can get the Vintage Air retrofit kit, which has everything you need to fit that stuff under the dash

Re: smooth firewall
Marks if you go to http://www.customclassictrucks.com and search the site for prodject get shorty you will come up with a lot of build articles. I am 100% sure he did a vintage air set up and i think he did a master cylinder relocation also but i dont remember if its in the dash or under the cab never the less his articles are great reads and the pics had me drooling the whole time.
