Door rubber seal
I am about to put the new door seals in doors and I found they don't stay without it seems some type of adhesion. Is there is a specific product people have used to keep in place that will allow me to work with it as I go around the door. Also is there a right and wrong place to start. It would seem like the forward bottom would be the right place.

Re: Door rubber seal
go you your local auto parts store and look for some of this. http://www.google.com/products?q=3+m...ed=0CDsQrQQwAw Most start from the bottom middle. The plate at the bottom covers most of the seam. They make the 3M in black also.

Re: Door rubber seal
Some tips. Start at the top and work your way down. Apply the 3m in short lengths like a foot at a time. Put some in the groove and push it on and off a few times. That way you have 3m in the groove and on the lip. Keep pulling and pushing slightly till theres resistance while pulling then hold the rubber on till it holds by itself. It takes a while to stick on good. Make sure its secure before you move on to the next piece. Nice to have a helper but if you work slowly you can do it yourself. The 3m is nasty stuff. That's why they call it black death. Have fun!!!
