I found a 1990 1500 truck for $1000 because its a salvage theft title. i was thinking about picking up to use what i can for 68 c10 stepside. Is it a good buy? does anyone know what i can use off of it for my 68. i am trying to use oem parts and i want to use the 454 engine and convert it to carb.

You could use the motor if you switch transmissions. Otherwise you will need the computer if i am not mistaken.
