Question 1990 C1500 parts interchangeable on 68 c10

I found a 1990 1500 truck for $1000 because its a salvage theft title. i was thinking about picking up to use what i can for 68 c10 stepside. Is it a good buy? does anyone know what i can use off of it for my 68. i am trying to use oem parts and i want to use the 454 engine and convert it to carb.

What can you use? Depends on what you mean. Nothing off this truck is a "bolt" on part if thats what your asking.

You could use the motor if you switch transmissions. Otherwise you will need the computer if i am not mistaken.

If its got buckets like the ones here


those would look pretty good recovered in something to match the paint scheme of your truck.
