Learn from my experience
Dont drive a 72 longbed after removing the bed , cause the driveshaft rubs the crossmember without the weight of the bed. Who would have thought

I drove my truck without bed for quite a while with no troulbe 68 coil spring stock height 2piece driveshaft

I would be interested to here more details on this also. I drove mine without a bed for a while with no problems. Mine is a 68 3/4 ton, 2 piece shaft, leaf spring, and it was stock height then, and I had no issues.

that or converted to a one piece shaft. (one reason why a 2 piece is better)
I put a few miles on my longhorn with no bed. |
