They didn't have a dome light switch mounted in the door jamb.

Re: unigue to 67'
The back up lenses were actually the bullseye style until 71. The taillight trim was also used for 2 years. (67-68) The rear view mirrors were black in 67 (if they had one) and the chrome one pictured was 68 i believe. In addition to the one year only exterior door handles, the interior door handles and the window cranks were for 67 only. I believe the arm rests were 67 and older also. The 67 gmc hood was the only slope nose one with no letters on it either. I think 67 was also the only year with the "GM" tag inside the door.
Good thread.

Re: unigue to 67'
Black heater controls with separate fan switch mounted below dash. No rubber mounts for the core support. Gauge bezel has a silver painted edge. My ignition key is shaped like an octagon not square. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

Re: unigue to 67'
I think this is how the rear view mirrors were. 67 above the windshield like pic above, 68 glued to the windshield, 69-71 mounted above the windshield and 72 glued to the windshield like the 68's. Is that right?

Re: unigue to 67'
72 was the only year mounted to the glass for a rearview.
The black heater controls were indeed 67, but the fan was the center arm. 68 may have used the black face also, but i am no positive on that. Manual chokes came on all 67 and 68s unless equipped with a 327 or 396 Q-jet. Keep in mind, rear view mirrors were an option into 69 so if your truck didn't have one there would be no holes in the roof.

If the rear-view mirror was an option would it be listed on the SPID if the truck had one?

Re: unigue to 67'
It must have been an option. I have no mirror holes nor is a mirror listed on my SPID.
Never knew you could get such a stripped down truck. No rear view mirror, only drv side sun visor, no arm rests. |

Re: unigue to 67'
That was my first reaction, too. I had to stop a guy wth a '67 stepside and ask him about it, and then check it out his light function, until I believed it. Obviously this was before we had this forum.

Re: unigue to 67'
great thread. im about 100% sure that all 67s were painted a silver looking color on the inside, reguardless of exterior color.

Re: unigue to 67'
I have never seen the stainless around a small back window.
The door handles on the outside are the same. They attach different inside. The bolts go in at an angle instead of straight.
