Rob,...
maybe these will help. They are from n2billet's red 1968 "Lucy" build. One of my favorite trucks ever. Sorry about hijacking your thread.

Re: Surf Blue
Those are much better pics of what I'm talking about. What you see in the pics "lolife" posted is exactly what I did. It may not seem like that would free up a whole lot of room in there but it does.
That's not threadjacking , that's just helpin a guy out. Don't sweat it.

Who knows, maybe someday they will be. They'd be the must have for increasing the lip on the rear wheels.

WOW!! I'm almost speachless. Your truck is beautiful. I can only aspire for my truck to be half as nice as yours. Love the color, drivetrain, wheels, everything! I'm still in aw.

Re: Surf Blue
After recently going to a few Goodguys shows I got a little motivated and decided to clean up my guage cluster area. So I ditched the column mount tach that I had ,flat blacked the cluster , painted needles orange, and cleared the see through plexiglass in front of the guages themselves.
Here's some before and after pics, the last pic is the before pic.

Re: Surf Blue
Looks good....but how did you get it so smooth before? Just sanding down or using body filler?

Re: Surf Blue
Those are pretty cool. I wonder if you can get any air ride P.S.I. guages in any of their configurations?

Re: Surf Blue
Nothing like a good show to get you a little motivated. I found that out a couple of weeks ago when i went to a goodguys show near me. Your truck is still one of the best i've seen anywhere. Thanks for the motivation you've given me.

Re: Surf Blue
What are the specs on the front suspension? Did you ever change to aftermarket upper and lower control arms?
Your truck has an amazing stance. |

Re: Surf Blue
Danny has been out of pocket lately working out of town & coming home according to his wifes schedule.
He's still running the OE style a-arms last I was around the truck. So dropped spindles & bags w/chromed stock style a-arms.

The more common issue is the wheel lip contacting the a-arm when using 3" dropped spindles. This is typically remedied w/a little creative grinding.

Does anyone have a pic of where this creative grinding would take place?
