Those are much better pics of what I'm talking about. What you see in the pics "lolife" posted is exactly what I did. It may not seem like that would free up a whole lot of room in there but it does.

That's not threadjacking , that's just helpin a guy out. Don't sweat it.

Who knows, maybe someday they will be. They'd be the must have for increasing the lip on the rear wheels.

After recently going to a few Goodguys shows I got a little motivated and decided to clean up my guage cluster area. So I ditched the column mount tach that I had ,flat blacked the cluster , painted needles orange, and cleared the see through plexiglass in front of the guages themselves.

Here's some before and after pics, the last pic is the before pic.

Looks good....but how did you get it so smooth before? Just sanding down or using body filler?

Nothing like a good show to get you a little motivated. I found that out a couple of weeks ago when i went to a goodguys show near me. Your truck is still one of the best i've seen anywhere. Thanks for the motivation you've given me.

What are the specs on the front suspension? Did you ever change to aftermarket upper and lower control arms?

Danny has been out of pocket lately working out of town & coming home according to his wifes schedule.

He's still running the OE style a-arms last I was around the truck. So dropped spindles & bags w/chromed stock style a-arms.

I thought OE style arms with dropped spindles where a no no...I thought I read something about never being able to align the truck properly.

I know of several installs done & have not heard of any issues using stock a-arms (that doesn't mean someone else didn't or couldn't of had an issue). Spindles wouldn't directly impact the aligment shim quantity, the spring height would.

The more common issue is the wheel lip contacting the a-arm when using 3" dropped spindles. This is typically remedied w/a little creative grinding.
