Re: Driveshaft?
you may have length issues, and you may have U joint size issues too. I would try to get the rear shaft out of a 12 bolt equipped truck

I had my 72 3/4ton towed to the shop for its rear end troubles today in hopes it could be repaired vs swapped. The shopped called and said I need a replacement rear end that the one in the truck is beyond rebulding. I know the pin that holds the spider gears in sheared off but could that trash the whole rear en?.

Re: Driveshaft?
The 5 lug rear end is almost buttoned up. The driveshaft lined up just needed a different ujoint.
