....went back where the spare sits in later model trucks....is there a company that makes a conversion tank so that we can get the old tank out of the cab? I would be interested in that kind of swap.

It is a Blazer gas tank for the same yr model

You can do a Blazer tank like POPO said or you can use a fuel cell custom made to your specifications. We have a few guys here on the forum that make the fuel cells.

lmc truck and classic parts carry them as well with many other venders.. Brothers truck has em too..
Just google blazer tank 67-72 and I am sure you will get alot of hits.. I think the kit is roughly 200 bucks.

I just bought an aluminum one from Boyd Welding. There is a group by right now.

There are the polyethelene (plastic) tanks too. That is what I used on mine. It comes as a complete kit to install the tank. Fairly cheap as well. Just like the other users said search for the tanks and you can find em. Good luck!

I agree 100%. I put a Blazer tank in my truck....that was the easy part. Making up a filler is the hard part. I have seen on here where folks have used a camaro tank instead, and are able to fill it up using a flip up license plate. Can't do that with the Blazer tank.

It sits up high enough so that gas does not overflow when filling it.

And does it come with the filler neck and all tubes need?
