Re: And now, for something off the beaten path, I submit..
I've had pics of that one on my hard drive for a long time.Personally I love it!I mean there are things I would have done differently, but why does everything have to be so cookie cutter? If no one tried stuff like this we would be without all the beautifully done customs you see at shows,in magazines,on tv and on the road.I'm not gonna say that that one is going to start a new trend but if nothing else it's something that may give the right person an idea for something else that will set the world on fire,Who knows.
Just another opinion.

Doubt he had much $$$ invested. I think its definetly outside the box and pretty cool idea. Most of us have the parts laying around to build one similar. Giving me crazy ideas for sure.

It certainly is creative. Doesn't look like it has any rust either.

Re: And now, for something off the beaten path, I submit..
As is I don't care for it. But remove the wood bed sides, the silly looking exhaust, the front nose and put on some black wall tires and it has potential.

Ouch. While I can respect that the seller put a lot of effort into cutting up a perfectly ood truck to create...that, it's definitely not my cup of tea.

Now now now, the almighty moderators on here will shut down the tread if you don't only say complimentary things about another truck - - - be careful what you say!

Re: And now, for something off the beaten path, I submit..
I can't say that I like it, but then again, I can't say that I don't. First impression is to not like it, but it kinda grows on you. I like thing that are different, so my hats off to the man that had the guts to try it.

You don't have to be complimentary.....You don't have to say anything.

Re: And now, for something off the beaten path, I submit..
To me its another creative idea, Not my thing but a lot of work went into it. I guess thats why we have street rods, hot rods, rat rods, etc.

Sold for $3100. Creative but strange probably not a very lucid moment when that was thought up.

Re: And now, for something off the beaten path, I submit..
Looks like it ought to be hauling butt down some dusty road in the backwoods of Kentucky late at night with a load of moonshine in the back and Barney Fife in hot pursuit.
You have to hand it to the guy. At least he didn't just slap on a pair of rims and call it done. There was a fair amount of thought and work that went into it. He certainly can't be accused of treading the beaten path. Oddly enough, I remember when the general reaction to lowered and hopped up trucks was typically negative, with most folks scratching their heads and accusing the owners of said vehicles of ruining perfectly good trucks. Now there are entire industries built around what used to be laughed at.... Funny how it all comes full circle...... |

Re: And now, for something off the beaten path, I submit..
So if I say that is the ugliest POS I've ever seen this thread will get deleted and tossed in the garbage...where that truck looks like the crawled out of and needs to go back to?
Now I just have to ask a question...who the hell is bidding on that?

If I thought I could fire mortars out of those 5 inch pipes I 'd have bought it. I think the guy was a miner. Everything that goes in a mine is low and flat like that.
