Question will a tilt steering column from an astro fit

My 71 GMC suburban is going to the bodyshop and while I stripped the burb last week I was thinking of putting a newer steering column in it. I should like to have the highbeam switch and the ignition key in the column just like in my 92 Astro.
Does anyone know if such a setup will fit or what other columns will fit.

Unless you find someone that actually used this same column, there will only be one way to find out and that's actually trying it.

I would first make some rough measurements to see if it will even be remotely possible. Total length and the diameter of the column is important. If it looks promising, give it a try. Worst thing is you waste an hour or two.

My truck has a tilt/telescopic column that is either from a Cadillac or Pontiac of around 78/79 origin. Other than trimming the guage bezel a bit for the fatter column, it looks like it was a bolt in. (I didn't do the install, it was in there when I bought it)
