Hood problems

I recently was driving my 70 Chevy c-10 lwb home and unfortunately my hood opened while I was driving. Thankfully I was able to pull off the road and man handle my hood to close but my hood springs came off.

It is really hard to open my hood and I wish I had my springs back on.

What is the easiest way to put them back on?

Thanks! Christian

That's always been my worst nightmare - ever since that happened to a customer at a shop I was managing. Scary dangerous....

What's preventing you from bolting them back up? Didn't they end up in the "open" or expanded position?

Question Re: Hood problems

The hinges are still there, they just dont have the springs because they popped out. Should I remove the whole hood and replace the hood springs? or can it be sone with the hood still on?
