Re: how to disassemble bed?
Considering the condition of your bed- this may take some time. It is much easier done with the bed off the truck and setting on a sturdy stand, but if this is not possible it can be done on the truck sitting on good jack stands.
Get underneath and bust off the 25-30 bolts that hold the bedside and wheel wells to the floor panel. Yeah, I said bust 'em off...get yourself an air impact driver and just tighten the nuts until the bolts break. Trying to "salvage" them will only bring you heartache. Now get back up boy and take out the 7-8 bolts that hold the bedside to the wheel well tubs. These you can probably save if you hit 'em with CRC or PB Blaster a few hours ahead of time. Once all the bolts are out you should be able to remove the floor panel. If you want to continue knocking down the bed you need to remove; 4 bolts on each side where it connects to the headgate, 3 bolts underneath the rearmost stake pockets, the lower side braces, splash shields and grind out the small weld where the rear stake pocket meets the rear floor sill. Oh yeah, you'll want to remove the T-gate too!

Re: how to disassemble bed?
Assuming you break them all off, does anybody know what size and how many for when re-assembly time comes?
Surely somebody has this information.

Re: how to disassemble bed?
I've had good luck drilling the heads off the carriage bolts , I like this method since you can do it from the top without having to lay under the truck and eat trash.I just center punch them, pilot drill them, and then use a 5/16 or 3/8 drill bit (can't remember which right now), and then take a punch and knock the bolt thru the hole . then the only bolts you have to get under the truck to get are the ones under the rear stake pockets.
