Keep the small window?
Hey guy's,new here. Friend of mine has a small junk yard,he got in a 67 camper special the other day. Being a 67 it has the small back window. Are there guy's that prefer the small window, think it worth cutting off the roof, the drip edge is pretty good too.
Also, the windshield has the stainless trim that fits in the seal. Read on here that guy's have problems with getting the trim in new seals. Should i take the old seal? |

Re: Keep the small window?
If I am right, 67 had two cabs during production, small window, then big window , some like them some dont...I wouldnt mess with the trim, I just got a new windshield a year and some change ago and it came with the trim...Your choice though.

Re: Keep the small window?
I prefer the small window. There have been polls on the board, I think they may have ended around 50/50 for small to big window preferences on the 67's.

Re: Keep the small window?
There is a thread here where someone cut out a small window below the roof line basicly fit it to the large window opening and welded it into the existing opening of his large window cab, don't know if i could find it again or not.. I would love to have a small window in my '72.

Re: Keep the small window?
A lot less work to swap the whole cab, condition of problem areas determining the choice, it is a one year only cab would luv to find a clean survivor 67 small window to restore or just put back in service as a dependable DD. If ya consider its probably the "rarest" thing about our era of trucks. I believe the production run of SBW cabs was used on the C-40 and up series seen lots of SBW big trucks of the 67-72 era. Worked at a Chev dealership starting in 68 when I came home from the Army.

Re: Keep the small window?
SMALL!!!! super jealous, IMO nothing looks cooler than a metallic flat 67 rat rod, and even the shiny show trucks still have one up on the rest in my books
