cig lighter
Ok very dumb question. but im putting in a new cigarette lighter and there are two wires a green and red on. the red goes to fuse box but were do I connect the green one to...thank

ok thank you..so I dont need to connect it then..thanx..alot also one more question.. I hooked up the tan wire from my fuel tank sending unit to the fuse box and my fuel gauge doesnt work. Now If i splice the tan wire from fuel tank directly to the other tan wire on the harness behind the dash it reads ...what is the prblem.???

The fuel gauge works by sending switched 12 V to the plus side of the gauge and connecting the sender to the other side. The sender connects to ground through a variable resistor (potentiometer).
