Which Steering Wheel should I run?
Title should read steering wheel, can't edit that. My truck has a factory green wheel now, but it's cracked up. I'm putting a tilt in, but painted it green to match instead of black. I lucked into this all but NOS factory green wheel, but would hate to put it on and get cracks in it, and also have a vette wheel I dyed the grip on and painted the hub same as column. Let me know which one you like best. It has power steering, so the big wheel is kinda useless anyway.

Re: Which steering should I run
Everything is for sale The guy I got it from has had it 25+ years in a box and wouldn't sell it to anyone. For some reason I got lucky and talked him out of it. I will most likely run the vette wheel, so the stock one is destined for more years in the box.

Re: Which steering should I run
Is your truck pretty much stock otherwise? That would be the only reason to put the original on there, and even at that you can always switch them easily.
I'd do the Vette wheel. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Which steering should I run
Truck is all stock. 56k original miles. I will eventually do a static drop that could be reversed and some wheels, but i'm not gonna do anything not bolt on. I think i'll try the vette wheel first. At least having the stock wheel will help me if I ever sell or want to put it back on.

Re: Which steering should I run
Someone needs to reproduce a factory wheel the same size as the vette wheel, i'd be in.

Re: Which steering should I run
The Vette wheel is real nice, but it is not a truck wheel. It become a choose between classic and old school.
Old school, in the 70's, most would put the Vette wheel on. Nothing says class then a Vette. Most people today like classic, stock. So the not so pretty truck wheels are preferred. I'm old school, but not Vette old school. I want any modern feature that makes it fun and useful to drive, but always in the back of my mind it a Chevy Truck first. I like the Vette wheel thought.

Re: Which steering should I run
If the truck's supposed to be stock as possible, go with the truck wheel. It's in terrific condition, and it adds legit authenticity to your truck.

Vette wheel
I was looking at Moons website last night and they have similar wheels. Would like to replace my broken one with one of those. |

that vette style wheel is available from Early Classic enterprises. They are GREAT to deal with and the quality of their stuff is over the top.
