1968 chevrolet
I bought a 1968 swb and the first four numbers repeat themselves on the title but not the cab or frame is this right any help would be appreciated thanks.

 to the forum!I think you have seen that the numbers only are what is stamped into the frame. That's what I saw with my truck, and have seen pics in other posts that bear that out. Here's a pic that I saved that you may want to see.

Thank you and just curious how many digits is your vin number mine has 16 on the title and 12 on the cab.

The VIN should be 12 numbers/letters long.

I'd get the DMV in fix that. The VIN on the door plate is the one that matters, and if the one on your title does not match, it could bite you in the rear big time one day.

The first cs14 is an error. It should be pretty easy to straighten out at the DMV IF you get an intelligent worker who cares abou their job.
