1971 C10 A/C question
I have been browsing the site and have found alot of useful info here. I recently purchased a 71 C10 LWB. It came with an underdash A/C unit. trying to find out some info on it...like was a dealer option or aftermarket....who sold it? also the compressor is different from what i have seen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1971 C10 A/C question
York compressor. Big, bold, beastly. Very rugged compressor. It has a crankcase that is separate from the refrigerant section, but there is some small pressure bleed. Off roaders often use a york compressor as an air compressor for airing up tires and or air tools.
When/if you get the system running, go buy a heating/air supply house (residential, not auto) and buy caps for the those valve stems. They WILL leak.
