Yeah this is the first time I've been there after moving up to STL area over a decade or so ago!

The swap meet was about bare, but my friend toke home some Camaro traction bars he was looking for a fair price. Now he wants to go back to find some slicks.

Re: Gateway: 9NMCA World Street Finals

I traveled with the NMCA (and the former NSCA) for the last 15 years, but did not make it this year. Top ten finishes every year, with a best of 6th, 4th, 3rd (twice) and 2nd (twice). Never did win that elusive points championship, though.

My last time at Gateway there was a tornado that blew through! That sure put a damper on our weekend...

(lol)

I remember that car!! Brings back some good memories of the races my friends and I attended.
My wife, daughter, and I were there Saturday. Lots of fast cars (especially LSX-powered ones) and there was a white '99-'06 model GMC SWB truck that was supposed to be there from La., but I never could find it in the pits. Anyone there see this truck?

I was there and I think I got a few pics of that truck on my phone.
It was real quick,... but I don't remember how fast.
Plus,... it still had the column shift in it. Very cool truck.

I never got to see the truck up close. I saw it in tow Friday on my way to work. The owner actually talked to one of my buddies when they stopped for fuel. The owner claimed that it runs 10.0s. I don't know if that's on motor or with a lil' help, though. Still fast either way.

Here's a picture of the drag truck.
It was really fast,... and on drag radial tires.

Dang!

Wish we could have planned it more in advanced to meet up with you guys.

Yeah my friend is trying to get his '67 RS Camaro back together for the 15th Midnight Madness run.

Not sure if we are going to make that deadline by the 15th but we'll see.

Yep, that's it. Thanks for posting the pic! Any idea what's under the hood?

Yeah, it'd be cool to meet some of you guys at these local events like this. I didn't think to post my plans of going to this race until after the fact.

Same here.

Mine was a last moment decision.

And had a blast and wish it would have lasted longer.

Hoping to return soon before they close for the year.
