70 truck bed

does anyone have any ideas for a website or place that i can contact that i could find a complete long bed for a 1970 chevy truck. the bed that was originally on the truck was really smashed up and rusted through and beyond the point of repair. i was wondering if anybody made a full size truck bed you could buy or if i would have to by the entire assembly from like lmc truck cuz it pretty pricey to do that just for a bed. like 3000 plus shipping

2500 bucks? Lol the whole truck only cost me 2700 I love her but not that much. I imagine you could get all those parts individually for less and to paint it you'll wanna take it apart anyway.

Lmc isn't known for the best prices. Id shop around. When I get home I'll look in my bookmarks and post some links.

Re: 70 truck bed

You'll spend 2-3K on a reproduction bed....as stated, it will be cheaper to find a really nice original. Many almost give away long beds.

Re: 70 truck bed

like already stated $3000 or so for everything new , about a year ago I sold a very nice lwb bed for $350. I see them on craigslist from $300 to $2500, you can find complete lwb trucks around here for $1200 and down so before I gave $3000 for new sheetmetal (which as already mentioned is viewed by most as inferior fit and finish to original) I would buy a whole truck with a nice bed and sell or scrap the rest. good luck
