steering is sloppy
so yesterday, i was driving my truck and it seemed diffrent to me. the steering wasnt as responsive as usual. and as i drove it more, going straight down the road the wheel was upside down. so today im gonna see about tightening up the steering gear box (power steering). anything else i should look for? im sure the box needs replaced but i dont have the money at the moment.. just tryin to get as much out of it as i can

Give this guy a call as its not to far away ...I did a steering box exchange for $225 plus tax www.steeringsolutions.com this guy is good, knows his stuff and has them in stock good to go

never mind, i found the problem. and i feel kinda stupid
 the bolts holding the axle to the spring on the driver side had worked loose some, and the axle was slideing a bit. im just really confused how they would work loose??

No problem...but down the road if you need to replace/rebuild your steering box this guy is good and honest, good that ya had a cheap fix this time!!!

Better check the spring center bolt. It is probably sheered off. This is what centers the spring to the axle.

red lock-tite, lock washers, and double nut it, using a Teflon nut on the top. Then they MAY not back off again. lol. As you can tell, I over-engineer everything.

Glad to hear you got it fixed, I read this earlier today and thought it strange that all of a sudden the steering would get sloppy.
