I just looked on ebay, and a while back (last week I believe), there was a guy selling a refurbished tilt for our trucks. His username on ebay was something like steeringcolumndr . I took another peek just barely, and didn't see anything for sale by him. By the description, this guy rebuilds columns and sells them agian. If you find one of his auctions, you can click on his name to get an email address, and get in touch that way. The tilt column totally rebuilt went for around $400 mint mint mint, so he may soak you $200 or so for a rebuild. I'll keep looking too....

JACKPOT!!
Check It!!!
Name is steeringcolumnologist , and the link above is for a '67 GTO column "professionally reconditioned. This high quality column has been completely disassembled, external pieces media blasted, primed and refinished in OEM black. All internal pieces have been cleaned, inspected, replaced as needed, lubricated and reassembled to factory specs. With 20+ years experience rebuilding columns, this column is ready-to-install." Sounds like a good guy to start with....click on the dudes name in the auction, or click "ask seller a question" to get in touch with him. Let us know what he soaks for a rebuild, I'm curious. |

Try Rick at Columns Galore. He made me a brand new custom column to my specifications and was very helpful and responsive.
