Stock Disc Brake Spindles...wiw
Does anyone have an idea what a set of stock disc brake spindles would be worth for the 71-72.Was that the first year.? I just replaced them for a set of drop spindles. I plan on listing them in the parts for sale section and dont know what to ask. Thanks

with a change of ball joints, tie rods, and the steering center link they will work. That's what I'm doing with my '69.
As for the original poster, I bought a set of '72 spindles from the forum for $50+ shipping.

I would advertise in the 60-66 forum for sale area also, 63-66 guys would probably like those if they cant do the drop spindles but want the disc brakes.

I agree that $50 would be a fair price if the threads and bearing seats are good. Try to get a local sale though, because shipping could be a deal-killer.

Re: Stock Disc Brake Spindles...wiw
Like I said before, I paid $50 for mine. If I remember right shipping was $50 to ship from Florida to Nebraska. I bought them from big_al_71 so I think shipping may have been a little less since he shipped them from a dealership. That's just my experiance though.

thanks for the heads up. As others have stated here, not much interest(none). I guess if your going to convert to disc why not get the drop spindles. I will give the 60-66 forum a try. |
