What do you think it's worth? (It's mine now!)

I've been looking at a '72 Blazer for a few weeks now. It's pretty much what I'm looking for, I'm just struggling with what it's worth. I thought I would try listing the details here, and see what you guys think it's worth (I looked at the WIW forum, but that seemed more for parts).

So, here are the details:
- 72 Blazer 4X4 (not CST)
- Came with a 350 but now has a stock 400 in it that runs decent but burns a little oil.
- Dual exhaust, but no headers.
- Transfer case and transmission seem to work fine.
- Near new 31" tires on stalk ralley wheels
- Exterior paint was done 10 years ago (original color) and still looks good but there are the odd scratch and chip here and there. I could not find any signs of rust or previous body work anywhere. It appears that the exterior was painted once and the rest of the truck is original.
- Grille, sport mirrors, bumpers all look like they were replaced with new 10 years ago.
- After market under dash A/C
- Interior apolostery was all redone 10 years ago and doesn't show any signs of wear. It's not as original, but very similar and looks year appropriatte.
- Carpeted through out and looks like it was all redone 10 years ago and in good shape.
- Interior paint and single wall top interior is original and has not been refinished on the inside.
- All chrome trim in interior is in place and looks like new.
- It drove nicely, no issues with the steering, breaks etc. that I noticed.

That's all I can think of, let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Gibber

Re: What do you think it's worth?

Thanks guys.

That's what I was hoping you would say. I'm not trying to steal it, I just want to make sure I'm not paying too much.

I tried to attach one picture. I think I'm going to buy it, but if others have opinions let me know. If I do I'll post some links with all the info and let you know what I paid.

The above price estimates don't sound out of line with what you've described and the picture posted. Hope it becomes yours!

Re: What do you think it's worth?

The Blazer looks really nice. Good Blazers have been going for some fairly high prices. Looks like a good deal to me for that price range. Good luck and keep us posted.

Re: What do you think it's worth? (it doesn't matter)

Shortly after I posted this I decided I was going to buy it. Luckily for me the guy I was buying it from said he would meet me half way......unluckily for me it was this weekend. In in the interior of BC and the truck was in Nevada so we met in Portland, and the roads could not have been worse. What should have been a 10 hour trip home was 16 hours. Going through Seattle on the Freeway at 8:30 in the morning on a sheet of ice was an adventure.

My tow vehicle was a little light for the job, but we made it and the Blazer is in my garage safe and sound.

All the stuff at the border went pretty well. You defientely don't want to BS those guys on the price you paid. They do their home work. If anyone has any questions about that let me know.

I still have to get it inspected, but I don't plan on driving it until spring. Lots of little things to do this winter on it....hopefully nothing major.

The pic was taken this morning by a friend when I arrived.

Re: What do you think it's worth?

Thanks!

I'm in the Shuswap. I didn't think my truck could handle the Coquhala, so I came over the Hope-Princeton....had to drop the guy that came along for the ride in Summerland anyway. It was snow covered but there was no traffic so I just took my time. Last time I was on that road I was in the back seat of my Mom's car on my way to a hockey game (30 years ago).
