Qjet smells of raw gas

I know it's the carb cause I have another I can put on there and no smell. Any ideas what's going on here? The smell is stronger when stopping and starting the engine or at a stop sign. It's strong enough to cause concern. Carb has recently been rebuilt.

No visible signs of gas on the outside I'm guessing.

Probably the needle/float hanging with you. Sounds like the float may be a tad too high, or at least sticking a little. There is other things that it could be, but these two are the most common. Pull the air horn and check it out. Don't drive it this way because you are probably dumping gas in the motor.
