I love this tuck! To me this is what this body style was intended for and the custom grille is something they would have done in it's era, classic, clean, and beautiful

Man! I would be inclined to restore your donor truck. That would be awesome fixed up with a ramp bed or something like that on the back. Even an old wrecker bed would really cool looking. Either way you got what looks like a pretty good cab to work with.

I've had the same thought myself, but I'm trying to stay on track since I already have more trucks than I know what to do with.. haha. My goal for the short step side is not to restore the body, but to just make a reliable year round daily driver. It does need floors and rear fenders, but other than that the body is just going to be pieced back together without much attention.

LOL, I definitely understand your problem of too many trucks. Sometimes it is hard to choose which ones go the front of the line that is for sure. Good luck with you build and please keep the pics coming.

Re: Post Your 60-63 Body Style Chevy/GMC Trucks

Thanks guys. I was looking for a long time Rich, and finally picked this one up about a month ago. Found a few but I was being real picky. Good thing I was though because I really scored on this one. Hasn't ran in like 10 years but I changed the water pump, plugs and wires, cap rotor and points, and installed an electronic fuel pump. The original
I6 235 runs great now. Just have a few things to do to the brakes now. My plans are to just drive it just the way it is for right now. Maybe some 4" Cokers and new smoothies for next summer.

Here is my 63 GMC Custom. I have had it for 4 yrs. working on her in my spare time (not much time lately). It will be a spare truck. Nothing crazy, just something to jump in and drive whenever I want.
