NOS Complete heater assembly

This is a neat find! I have a complete heater assembly for a '67 pickup. May fit up to '72, but it says '67 on the box. Part number is 986817.

This appears to be a COMPLETE heater assembly, meaning heater core, heater box and ductwork, controls, cables, gaskets wiring, heater hose, bolts and instructions. The only reason I say "appears to be complete" is because the box was not sealed, and there are some loose parts. Certainly all of the significant pieces are there.

GM stamp on the heater core box from December 1966. Pretty cool!

The metal pieces have a very cool factory hammertone type finish to them. There are some slight scratches from handling over the years, but obviously very usable and as period correct as you can get...

Offered here first for $800 +shipping

Thanks!

Very nice - it's for a '67 exclusively, with that black faceplate. Good find.

Thanks for the id help! I am not an expert so it has been time consuming just to identify many of these parts. It's interesting, but it seems that so far none of the NOS parts have numbers stamped or cast in them. Many don't have packaging anymore and labels are gone, so it is a bit of a challenge.

^^Should be for 68 also, unless I am missing something, I am willing to learn. Every 67, 68 ive seen has the black face plate, including mine, only I have chrome knobs but I also have a CST. Have to say that this is pretty neat!

Re: NOS Complete heater assembly

That is probably how GM packaged all the parts to put a heater in a "heater delete" truck. Like in Florida & Hawaii. A few of those parts would really clean up a rough truck.

That's pretty much what we think in TX too. A/c is a must. But the northern guys ought to be able to put this to good use!

I had a request to part this set out, and I'd really prefer not to. It's just too perfect together. Plus, I have a ton of stuff I need to get rid of as it is. I'd like to sell this, so anyone that is serious PM me with an offer.

Thanks!
