How/where do I find the correct female connector for this type of temp sending unit for my '73 Chevy 350?
Thanks! -Scott |

Re: Temp sending unit question
No, I have a bare wire end that sends the info to the temp gauge that needs to be connected to the nail head type male connector on the sending unit. Originally, it was a strange plastic piece that slides over the nail head piece. I tried just wrapping the wire around the connector and it does send the temp to the gauge but the wire keeps falling off.

Re: Temp sending unit question
Any local parts store will have that female terminal end connector. Its very common. You could probably even get the connector at Radio Shack.

Re: Temp sending unit question
Those connector ends use to come with the aftermarket senders.

Re: Temp sending unit question
I just used a crimp on female spade connector. I loosened it up with a small screwdriver until it had a snug fit on the end of the sensor. It has been like that for 5+ years with no problems.

Re: Temp sending unit question
I couldn't find one locally, but this guy has them and just about any other one you need.
http://www.repairconnector.com/ Pretty easy to deal with.

Re: Temp sending unit question
This is where I have been buying my Delphi/Packard connectors:
http://www.pcsconnectors.com/ Here is the one for the temp. sending unit: http://www.pcsconnectors.com/2962965.aspx and the appropriate terminal: http://www.pcsconnectors.com/2965142.aspx The shipping is probably not worth it for a small order though.
