Tire/ Wheel/ BS Combo Spreadsheet
Hey Guys,
Mods....wasn't sure where to start this, but thought here since this is where most folks are..... I got this idea from another forum (http://www.dodgestang.com/Tire%20Fit...ide%2067-8.pdf)...careful hardcore chevy guys....it's a F$%d site ....wasn't sure someone hasn't started to do this already. Don't want to recreate the wheel so to speak......pun intended Why not log all wheel/ tire/ Back spacing/ anything else combo to one spreadsheet....that way we can create a "sticky" to help others.... Help me brainstorm what this spreadsheet should look like and I'll start amassing all this info......I know it will be somewhat of an undertaking, so I'll look to you guys to help me keep it straight, and maybe update it Here we go....some heading we can use: Wheel size, backspace, tire size, tire brand, rear suspension type (coil or leaf or air), rear suspension year (67-early 69 or late 69 and up), front springs, a-arm mods, a-arm type, front brakes, rear brakes, other mods required, (maybe list each member's user id for each setup??) What else should we track?? What other ideas?

Definitely pictures. Maybe start a thread stating what info we need, have the poster post it, along with a picture (side)? of their truck.

Re: Tire/ Wheel/ BS Combo Spreadsheet
We used to have a wheel/tire and drop thread that was stickied. The were some board changes and it was moved for bandwidth space or something or another reason. It was a pretty good thread. A spreadsheet layout may be better.
I can supply some info if need be.

Re: Tire/ Wheel/ BS Combo Spreadsheet
This is a great idea.....But what needs to happen is that people dont start posting on there and clutered the thread with questions or comments. It would be cool to post three picts front, side and rear with detailed information and thats it. if someone has questions pm the poster...just saying..

Re: Tire/ Wheel/ BS Combo Spreadsheet
That's what happened with the last one. Too many people asking questions rather than posting pics and info. Alot would even post a pic with no info.
I also recently learned that the overall width (fender lip to fender lip) is more narrow on a stepper than on a fleetside. Just some more info to consider.

It might work out better to allow the user two choices, one for stock and one where the user enters the actual width. Btw, the rear end width changed midway through the 70 model year, not 69. Ray
