New Bushing vs New Leafs?
So I just pulled my leaf springs out and tried to bang out the bushings. I did a quick search on how to remove bushings and I came across a tip of just replacing the leaf's because the chances are the ones you just pulled out are shot.
So, how do I tell if I need new springs or if I can go ahead and just throw new bushings in? Any tips? Also, in case you are wondering, I am about the install an axle flip kit, and an ART Air over Leaf kit. Thanks!

Re: New Bushing vs New Leafs?
Take a look at your spring pack. Check for obvious defects such as broken or cracking leaves. Do they look flat, or still have an arch to them?
If it were me, I would press out the old bushing and replace them with fresh quality parts. pull all of the lower leaves, and leave at least two in your pack. Add you AoL system and see what you have. It worked fine on my 77 for several years.

Re: New Bushing vs New Leafs?
Thanks for the tips.
They do look ok to the naked eye but tonight I am stripping them apart and I will add some pics to my original post. I expect they will be fine, they don't seem overly flat.
