Lowering the truck.

What companies sell front cross members? And do you have to remove the engine to install the member? Also need parts to lower the rear. I may give my son my 69. He wants to air bag it. This is a job I am not looking forward to. I have to fix the wipers that wont shut off , and I don't want to do that. I am 64 years and tired of working on old cars , and trucks. Can we use the original steering box, or will that have to be changed also? I figure it will cost about $7,000. What do you think? Thanks

Crossmember

What brand crossmember doesn't raise or lower the engine. I don't want the fan hitting the shroud. I had another thread about air bagging the truck, but I got no replies. Thanks.

Re: Lowering the truck.

How low ya wanna go?

You can go 4/6 Which is nice and healthy for Around 1200 (Early Classic). Thats putting disc brakes on too (A must, and to run a drop spindle ya gota go disc)
