probably a dumb question
I was curious as to what is required to run 8 lug wheels on a 71 1/2ton 4x4 burb? would i have to swap out differentials or what? Just looking for the cheapest route. In advance, I know this is probably a dumb question.

There's adapters,or you can find complete axles for reasonable money and just swap them.

Depends on the axles you're running. Assuming it's disc brake up front, and a Dana 44, just change your wheel bearing hubs. Just match your hub size to the spindle size. Easy, should take you a couple hours. If you have a 12 bolt out back, you'll have to use adapters or swap to a Dana 60/14 bolt/Eaton/something else.
