Wheels 69 gmc 3/4
Looking for opinions for wheels guys.
Option 1 use oem wheels and buy refurbished center caps. (Dog dish type) Option 2 American Racing Outlaw II's ( Will the offset be correct?) Option 3 1999-2009 Chrome OEM wheels with GMC center caps This is a 3/4 ton so it is 8 lug. I don't want to use spacers or anything so looking for ideas of direct swap wheels that someone else has done without problems Mike |

Re: Wheels 69 gmc 3/4
I had the 99-04? Aluminum wheels on my 3/4 ton. The rear center caps wouldn't fit with the Dana 60 rearend, the hubs stuck out too far, so I picked up a set of 1" spacers and then they fit. Also the wheels dont have the right offset so they tuck in too much for me, I added a 1" spacer and that brought them out to almost flush with the bed side.

It's two wheel drive? I have a set of weld wheels (w tires) that were on my burb. 16x8 with 33s bfg all terrians. They looked good, I just decided to go a different route. I should mention.... my burb is 4x4.

The factory dog dish caps always look good. A set mid 80's 16" wheels are plentiful and have no fit issues.

Re: Wheels 69 gmc 3/4
What about some H2 wheels? Put the newer style truck center caps on for a nice looking cheap combo.
They are 17" x 8.5" and will fit good under the rear... not sunk in like the newer stock skinnies!

You think the white ones will go with my truck. BTW the truck is a factory color. What they called Saddle Poly. I do have the orignal rims so it would be easy to re-paint and get the caps.

I had the polished Alcoas on my 70 GMC 3/4 ton. I think they are a timeless wheel design that looks good on anything. When I sold the truck, I put the Alcoas on my '02 GMC 2500 HD, and now they reside on my '85 Crew Cab farm truck.

Re: Wheels 69 gmc 3/4
Wheel color and hubcap color were argent silver for 1968 and 1969. The photo posted shows a 1969 GMC 3/4 when new with argent silver wheel and cap. In 1970, wheel and cap color was changed to white. However it is possible some late 69's might have came with the new white color also. I believe the argent silver would best blend with your color.
