Lights out!

Driving home tonight and I lost my low beams then all dashlights. Made it home with just the hazards lighting the way (on and off). When I hit the brakes the interior and cargo light would flash with the hazards. Made for quite a site to see. My neighbor was outside laughing his ass off when I pulled up.
Turns out that the plug for the dimmer on the floor had a bad connection and fuse blew for the lights. Been a while since I have had that kind of fun. Sure it won't be the last, just hope it goes as smooth.

in the dark!

yeah, these old trucks are fun like that! on my way home from purchasing my truck, I got pulled over because the license plate that was taped in the back window had fallen down, and my 4 ways started acting funny. then, my dashlights and headlights went out...but so did my tail lights, and brake lights! the cop gave me a warning for the plates, but said nothing about the lights...I had to drive home (about 2 miles from there) using the hazards like you did. It was a snowstorm, too...one of the worst ones Ohio had seen, too. After some new fuses, the headlights and tail lights started to work, but still no dash or brake lights. I thought the brake lights worked, though, and actually drove for about 3 days without them! good thing its not out of place to see cars around here with no brake lights, or just the small middle one. luckily, i didnt get any tickets, i just had to fix the blinker, and some more fuses, in the parking lot of KFC, in about -5 weather.
