Suburban Rear Heater

Has anybody ever installed one in a Suburban equipped with only rear ac? What are the components? Where can I find a diagram?

Re: Suburban Rear Heater

Best thing to do would be to yard out all the parts from one in a wrecking yard to include the wiring and switch.

Re: Suburban Rear Heater

I wonder how hard those hoses will be to pull intact.

Re: Suburban Rear Heater

for the heat only you can just buy a roll of new hose
you won't notice a leak behind you if the hoses are old(i didn't)
i got told at a stop light
bypassed/ripped it all out
there is a floor model (heat only)and ceiling model(heat and ac)
a local auto parts place called princess auto has the multi application floor type for general use but it looks the same as the burb
just a core with a fan really
the important thing is a shutoff for the back in the summer

The name of the store is really called "Princess Auto"?
Sorry, but imagining what the store would look like just cracks me up.

But on a serious note I have seen used units out of Suburbans here for as low as $50 on Craigslist, but they go fast. That included all everything that's up in that diagram above. Awesome deal for sure!!
