Re: Can you find a flaw?
Only thing I can see is the owner is far too young to have a truck that sick, I think everything is sweet luv the stance and tire wheels combo. Sweet video, more of use should do a video like that with our trucks and post them on here. I def will once mine is out of storage, it a little snowed in at the moment down in Utah..

Re: Can you find a flaw?
Bunch of really stupid comments here, how can you say anything bad about a nice old truck and someone that takes pride in owning it... So if it was your son that wanted to build or buy a truck like that you would say your to young and dont deserve it?

Re: Can you find a flaw?
I think it is fantastic that this kids dad did this for him, built the truck or paid to have it built. I sure wish I had the money to do it for my girls, but I dont. If I did, they would be out in the garage wrenching just like me, but that is me. I think they should have a large part in a build so they feel connected to the project so they will take care of it in the future and not just sell it right after the glory of completion is over.
If it was that this kid saved the cash and did some of the wrenching then I say he rocks! and welcome to the hobby. If you guys think about it, what would we be like now if we would have started at say 13 years old with a cool truck like that.....man, I can only imagine. Good luck kid! I hope you drive that truck and enjoy it cuz that is what it is all about!

Re: Can you find a flaw?
Personally, I love the truck, video, and the fact that the kid and his dad did this together. Anyone who has made a stupid comment about some "punk kid" getting a free truck, not deserving it, etc. are obviously not in this hobby for the right reason. If I spent that much quality time with my son, regardless where the money came from, and posted my video on here just to get a bunch of stupid dumb comments from people that dont even know me I would be very insulted and infuriated. The guy might be a member here, why talk about something you know nothing about? Must just be jealous I guess!

Re: Can you find a flaw?
I think its a sweet truck! Where I live in Texas half the high school kids are driving brand new lifted King Ranch F350s and Duramaxs etc. I have a feeling this truck didn't cost as much to build as most of those fully loaded lifted diesels. So I would much rather see a father build a truck with his son even if the son didn't pay a penny towards it. At least the son got to learn/experience something with his dad for the years it took to build...rather than just a 2 hour trip down to the local dealership for a brand new truck. Who knows, maybe the son did a lot of work on it also. By the way, this is a Texas truck, is it in Waco like the filmaker AJ is??? And if I HAD to be picky I would rather see a T56 manual tranny in it, but thats about all I would change.

Sweet truck, and what's the fuss about the rest? Any guy who owns, drives, or likes that truck is ok in my book (long as he didn't steal it).

Re: Can you find a flaw?
I'm surprised this thread is still going with all the squabbling going on, yesterday I had a thread locked after 10 comments (5 or 6 if you don't count the mods posts) and no one really said anything bad. Anyway I agree with the above comments that whether or not the kid put in his money, the fact he loves these trucks and that he helped in the build makes him a rightful member of our hobby. If some guy with money buys a truck that has already been finished, does that mean he doesn't belong here? I plan on building an el camino with my son who is 9 now, I want to do it just so we can spend time together and he can learn some skills on how to work on cars. I figure I can shell out the cash to buy a project Elco for cheap and we have the next 6 or 7 years to build it. My son definitely isn't a rich man's kid, I'm a full time student right now. Right now he does some chores around the house for a few $$, when he gets a little older he can mow lawns or what ever to help fund the project, I figure that will help him learn the value of a dollar. I'm not trying to be high and mighty or anything, and I know a lot of the comments weren't meant to be taken seriously. I just think some are getting a little bent out of shape for nothing, we all love these trucks and that should be enough to make us belong on this site.
