Someone Please Help Me With My Plug Wires

I've posted before about this problem I'm having with selecting proper plug wires for my truck. As you can see by the picture, these wires are at least two feet too long. They are HEI wires and every set I choose are WAAAAAY too long. Will someone please tell me which wires to buy that actually fit properly?

Cut to fit wires is way to go there.

I used MSD wires, i bought a universal set and custom fit them. They come with the crimper too.

Maybe just wrap the extra around the carburetor a couple times first!! lol I agree with cutting them to length. Get some new ends, route the wires the way you want them, then cut to length and install new ends. I've used the Accel kits and they seem to fit fine, without wires that reach to the tail pipes! (They're yellow though)

MSD cut to fit wires are always the way to go, I used them on my truck and my '94 z28. All that is needed to make them is a razor blade (to cut insulation, but you use the guide on the crimper that is supplied), big channelocks or a vice (to use with the supplied crimpers), and some type of silicone spray/wd40 to help slide the boot over the crimped metal end.

The reason they're so long is because they're supposed to go down the back of the motor then along the pan rail and up to the sparkplugs. That's the way the factory did it.
No burned wires. They used wire brackets to hold the wires too.

Yea, I ran them down the back and along the pan rail. Now they're only a foot too long.

Can't go that route. The wires I require are HEI.
Besides, I've spent many hundreds of dollars on LMC junk and most had to be returned because of poor quality or fit.

I use MSD wires for a 1975 corvette, route them down back and under the exhaust up the block. Only a few wires are a little long.

Keep them long. Before you are done you may want to hang yourself.

I switched to Belden wires a month ago and am loving the way the truck is running.. I did rebuild the dizzzy as well but Belden makes a damn good wire. Oh yeah, they are too long too..

My son installed some Standard wires on his 69 GMC with the 350 and they worked out very nicely. They are for HEI, grey color with straight boots for the spark plugs. The lengths are good.

The Standard PN is 6870.
