Here is my old 97 w/17" Torque Thrusts ... 4-6 static drop, Silverado w/Jimmie shell ... sold it several years ago to my best bud who still has it ... get to see it at least once a week.

Re: Ar torque thrust
All depends on if you will still want 20's later. If you do you can always sell the torq's then but I buy what I want 1 time to avoid that situation.

Re: Ar torque thrust
This is why everybody has these wheels they just look amazing on these trucks. I say buy the 17's off your buddy as long as the backspacing is correct. They will look great on your truck, you can always upgrade to 20's later and sell the torq thrusts.

Re: Ar torque thrust
That's kinda a funny question. They're both! I bought the fronts used off Craigslist. I ended up ordering new rear wheels from Jeg's. I asked them to make sure if they were the TTII or the TT2.1. They siad they were just TTII's, but they weren't. It's hard to tell the difference unless you know what you're looking at.
The 1-piece 2.1 wheels are lighter and seem to have a nicer finish than the 2-piece TTII.

Re: Ar torque thrust
buy em....get tired of em and sell em for some 20" TT2's..!!!
seriously though, a 20" TT is one of the sickest wheels you can put on these trucks when lowered enough......hard to beat, but a little costly. |
