Motor mounts
Hi fellas? Anyone know up to what year chevy truck motor mounts will bolt right up to my 67 chevy c10 frame? I want to drop in a sbc 350 I have. Also same goes with a transmission mount. I have a 3 speed trans but that will be replaced with a th350. I know I could just go to the truck shop in Orange but To much money for me. I just want to know what would work so I could hit up the Local "Pick Your Part" To save money.

Re: Motor mounts
Are you wanting to know about the motor mounts or the motor towers? The towers are all the same for small block from 67-72, some have adapted the 73+ ones to fit our trucks but I'm not sure how. The motor mounts are super cheap, $7 each at autozone so I would just get new ones. I'm not sure on the tranny mount.

Re: Motor mounts
what happened to your towers? are you trying to convert a 6cyl to V8? or do you just want a different style mount?

Re: Motor mounts
You need the SBC towers for 67 to 72. For a 2wd they would mount in the front set of holes on the frame. any 350 should drop right in. You will need a trans cross member but you could probably get that is the for sale section.

Re: Motor mounts
Thanks for the info everyone. When I got the truck it didnt have any towers but still has the 3 speed trans in it but will be replacing with a 350/th350. I will end up putting an autoshift column hopefully from 67-72.

Re: Motor mounts
You know you can you six cylinder mounts correct? The SBC mount move engine forward while straight six mounts keep the HEI closer to firewall all depends on if you want engine closer to front or back both work. You will need to remove the 3 speed cross member to my knowledge also. Brandon

Re: Motor mounts
I saw a set today at Ecology Auto wrecking in Rialto. You can google for the address-it's on Riverside ave. There maybe two sets for small block v-8 one in a 67 and one in a 68. They charge about 15 bucks each! I would get them soon cause they do go fast.

Re: Motor mounts
I have a set of V8 towers I can put in the for sale section if you want. as mentioned, the 6 cyl ones will work, they just have the motor back a couple inches.
your price is way off base, the big block towers might be 80 each, but the small block ones are more like 40 a pair
