Help! Which way do these head gaskets go on?

Small block Chevy head gaskets. Is there a right way to put them on? I think I remember something about the side with the connected cylinder rings going one way or the other. What if I put them on wrong?

The gaskets are the same for each bank of cylinders. When i put on Fel-Pros, the only thing i do is make sure the blue stripes on the gasket facing up.
