Deal or no Deal ?

I came across this `72 for sale for $4000, took some pictures, and was interested in some input from you guys that have experience dealing with rust issues this severe, the truck looks to be complete and original, and driven daily. Is it a deal or no deal?

Re: Deal or no Deal ?

Being that you are in Oklahoma I'd say not quite $4k. Maybe $3500. Too much rust for that amount of money. The paint will buff out very nicely and it will make a great driver. I'd offer $3000 and go from there.

Re: Deal or no Deal ?

I wouldn't give that mutch around here for it. Not around here anyway. It looks like it has some pretty good rust issues to deal with. Maybe $2000.00, 2500.00 WES

Re: Deal or no Deal ?

It is a Cheyenne Super, but remember it isn't one of the most sought after ones. If it were a short box, or a big block with tach and tilt I would say it would be closer to the asking price. And so I don't get flamed hear.... I love the long boxes, but numbers are numbers.... WES

Re: Deal or no Deal ?

The cab mounts look about like mine still do.

$4k may be a little high, but I'd go for it for $3500.

Re: Deal or no Deal ?

Defintetly looks like its in nice original shape and all there, but $4000 is definetly high for that much rust underneath. I would say it's worth $3000.

Re: Deal or no Deal ?

It looks pretty good. Most of these trucks have the same issues. Big or small they all need to be dealt with. I'd say $2500-2700 around here. Keep looking. Lucky for us there are a lot of them out there.

Re: Deal or no Deal ?

Id say $2-2500, if it runs good. Ive got one in similar shape, and I estimate it to be worth about 2 grand(mine runs and works good).
