Re: 1966 GMC carryall side windows
you can always install this type of aftermarket windows. there was a lot of this done back then. Just about any glass shop could do it

Re: 1966 GMC carryall side windows
that is when it is from and is all disappearing as soon as I cut the body up after the new year so I put the suburban body together and get it on there. that is how it looked when I got it 20 years ago and it has been patched before I got it . It also had 36x15x15 tires on it when I got it.

Re: 1966 GMC carryall side windows
If you have glass cut to fit be sure and use laminated safety glass, it is required by the law I do not like the idea of plexiglass.......Kieth

Re: 1966 GMC carryall side windows
As you say "plexiglass" is made of acrylic resin, It will crack and shatter. As I said, Lexan and Blue-ox (Trade-mark names) are made of poly-carbonate. Slivers of it can be tied in knots. It is used as clear bullet proof plastic glass. As for the legality of using a non DOT approved material in the side widows of my antique vehicle, Well I think I will leave that debate up to my attorney. Thanks for your input. *****! If you are scared, just say you are SCARED!
