any ideas what i should do with this mess?

just wondering if any body had any thoughts about this big @$$ radio hole i ordered a radio delete plate dont think thats going to work thinking about getting a dash repair panel just dont know much about them if any body has any pics of this installed that would be great and was wondering if that had to be welded in or if there are any other options. you cant tell in pic but the smaller hole is also a big dent

Get a patch panel from another dash & weld it in or weld in a flush filler plate over the opening.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I would install a plate and some gages to cover the hole. Rather listen to my engine run!

Patch panel as others have said...or if you are completely opposed to welding I'd do the guages idea.

there use to be gauges there but bought a gauge cluster to but them back where they belong. would cutting up a dash and welding that piece in be beter than buying a dash repair kit

6 in one hand...half dozen in the other. Just my opinion but if you have a dash availible to cut, and it's in good shape...why not just put that dash in instead and save yourself the trouble of having to weld on a very visible surface....then agian I suck at welding....sooooo....yeah

Re: any ideas what i should do with this mess?

I would repair that with one of the patch panels that are available, unless you have access to a good factory dash. Typically they are welded in, but you could flange the edges and use the 3M panel adhesive. However the dispensing gun for the panel adhesive is spendy. If you know someone in the auto body business, you may be able to borrow one. Keep in mind that you don't have to use the whole patch panel. You can cut them down and use only what you need.

Wow, did someone make a mess of that, I would get a piece of a dash from a donor and take it under the rolled protion and all the way to the glove box.
